After having obtained extensive experience in general surgery and FRCS in General Surgery, Mr Ashraf decided to pursue a career in Urology, beginning his urology training in l985. He has subsequently developed wide ranging experience in both endoscopic and open Urological procedures. He has a special interest in Vasectomy and has performed over 17000 vasectomy in his career. Since 1994 Mr Ashraf has been using the non-scapel method for vasectomy, which is the gold standard. His recent lists are 2022 657, 2021 485, 2020 368, 2019 529.
Dr Martin trained to registrar level in general surgery and then worked in ENT for 18 months. Before entering UK general practice he practiced for 18/12 in a country town in rural Australia performing all types of surgery from skin cancers up to colonic cancer surgery.
Alongside his UK general practice Dr Martin has held clinical sessions in operative plastic surgery and ENT.
For 6 years in the 1990s he provided a skin surgery service, on a two week wait basis, including more complex procedures such as skin cancer excision. This was available to all the practices in Nottingham. The service was strictly audited with very good results. Dr Martin continues to offer this service to his own patients.
Dr Martin has private interests in cosmetic lasers and aesthetic medicine and has lectured and taught on the subject internationally.
He has provided a vasectomy service to the local community since the early 1990s and has been performing the operation privately since 1988.
Dr Martin has been a GP trainer for the last 5 years and provides expert witness services to the legal profession.
Mr Aladin is a UK trained orthopaedic consultant surgeon for the last 15 years in the specialty of trauma and orthopaedics at Kings Mill Hospital.
He has worked at Nottingham Road clinic for 14 years. He has undertaken significant numbers of minor operative procedures, including Carpal Tunnel, removal of cysts, excision of swellings, as well as consulting and treating many orthopaedic conditions over the last 14 years.
He trained in vasectomy surgery, with a UK recognised trainer, and qualified with the Faculty of sexual and reproductive healthcare in 2019 . He has been performing vasectomies at the Nottingham Rd Clinic ,West Bridgford and Bulwell.
Dr Hopwood Studied medicine at the University of Cambridge, before moving to Nottingham to train as a GP.
He has been a GP since 2004. In 2005-6 Dr Hopwood trained to do vasectomies in Derbyshire, and since 2006 has performed approximately 70 vasectomies per year at his practice in Bramcote.
He also has experience in minor surgery operations, including excisions (of lumps and bumps&41; and steroid injections.
Dr Ikogho is a GP who trained as a doctor originally in Nigeria, graduating in 2012 and has since practiced medicine in Nigeria, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the United Kingdom. He is a trained GP, having completed his GP VTS in August 2021 and a vasectomy surgeon, completing his training with the Sexual health services in Hull in July 2022 and has gone on to perform vasectomy procedures regularly for the Nottinghamshire Vasectomy Service, alongside his role as a GP at Hickings Lane Medical Centre where he works as a GP.
