Dr Martin trained to registrar level in general surgery and then worked in ENT for 18 months. Before entering UK general practice he practiced for 18/12 in a country town in rural Australia performing all types of surgery from skin cancers up to colonic cancer surgery.
Alongside his UK general practice Dr Martin has held clinical sessions in operative plastic surgery and ENT.
For 6 years in the 1990s he provided a skin surgery service, on a two week wait basis, including more complex procedures such as skin cancer excision. This was available to all the practices in Nottingham. The service was strictly audited with very good results. Dr Martin continues to offer this service to his own patients.
Dr Martin has private interests in cosmetic lasers and aesthetic medicine and has lectured and taught on the subject internationally.
He has provided a vasectomy service to the local community since the early 1990s and has been performing the operation privately since 1988.
Dr Martin has been a GP trainer for the last 5 years and provides expert witness services to the legal profession.
Dr Pabla is the senior partner at Leenview Surgery, Bulwell Riverside which is a brand new pupose built premises near the heart of Bulwell town centre.
He has performed minor surgery for his practice and neighbouring practices for over 21 years and is still taking referrals from other practices through a contract with the PCT.
Dr Pabla holds a Diploma in Practical Dermatology ensuring a thorough understanding of skin problems.
Dr Pabla has performed vasectomies for the Nottingham Community since 2000 and has been performing the operations for 14 years.
Dr Pabla has worked as a sessional anaesthetist at Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham for 18 years.
Dr Hopwood Studied medicine at the University of Cambridge, before moving to Nottingham to train as a GP.
He has been a GP since 2004. In 2005-6 Dr Hopwood trained to do vasectomies in Derbyshire, and since 2006 has performed approximately 70 vasectomies per year at his practice in Bramcote.
He also has experience in minor surgery operations, including excisions (of lumps and bumps&41; and steroid injections.
Dr Atkinson initially trained in general practice, subsequently working as an associate specialist in the Department of Contraception and Sexual Health in Nottingham.
She has been performing no-scalpel vasectomies for the last 8 years.
Dr Atkinson was registered with the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare as a Principal Trainer in Local Anaesthetic Vasectomy providing training to other doctors who wished to become proficient in the no-scalpel technique.
